How They Met

Kaedron and Neekee met in 2015 when Kaedron moved to Lafayette from Atlanta, GA to work at Ascension Episcopal School. Both incredibly talented vocalists and musicians, they were hired in the same year as music instructors and realized shortly after that they were the perfect duo. Over the years, their friendship flourished as they both loved having each other around. Before long, their plans always included one another and friendship blossomed into a romance. Neekee says, “We realized that God was in every detail. He placed us exactly where we needed to be and at the right time”. Beautiful!

The Proposal

Kaedron, Neekee, and their close theatre friends would often get together for a breakfast gathering. Kaedron is the ultimate planner! As they were planning for their breakfast tradition on Memorial Day of 2019, Neekee had no idea what he had secretly planned for this special day! Little did she know, Kaedron was crafting the perfect proposal and engagement party. He invited their closest friends and family to attend.

Halfway through their gathering, Kaedron called everyone into the living room to watch a video. Neekee says, “Being that it was a room full of theatre people, I assumed we were watching highlights from a recent show”, but it was actually a beautiful slideshow with photos of the couple. Surrounded by family and friends, Kaedron asked Neekee to be his wife and she said YES!

The Ring

When we asked Neekee what she loved about the ring, this is that she said:

“I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful ring! I love the shape, the double halo and that it has a little vintage look to it! It was a complete and total surprise. Kaedron knew exactly what I wanted without sending a single picture and it is perfect.”
