Tell us how you met.
We met in 2020, just weeks before the world shut down because of COVID, at the Church Point Mardi Gras parade and have been inseparable since! The beginning of our relationship was so simple and sweet. Daily visits outside, sitting six feet apart, just talking and getting to know each other. It was definitely untraditional but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Tell the story of your proposal.
We took a last-minute trip to Charleston, South Carolina with my cousin and her fiancé, and it just so happened to fall during Valentine’s Day. Side note- Weeks after we went ring shopping, Tyler had asked how I imagined being proposed to, I said in town, then have a celebration with friends and family afterwards, so I never expected it to happen out of town, especially on a spontaneous trip.

That evening, before our late dinner reservation, my cousin and I planned to take pictures. She suggested getting some engagement photos of them first since they hadn’t taken any engagement photos, Then she started taking pictures of us—and I still wasn’t thinking anything of it. Suddenly in the corner of my eye, I noticed he pulled something out of his pocket, then said a few words, and got down on one knee. I was completely shocked and speechless.

Afterward, we went to a nice dinner, and soaked it all in before FaceTiming all of our friends and family. It was far better than anything I could’ve thought or imagined.

Tell us about the ring!
I have had my eye on this style ring for years! When we went ring shopping it was the first ring I tried on and we both fell in love with it! My favorite thing about my ring is that it is so unique! I’ve always been a jewelry lover so I knew I wanted something different!
