Tell us how you met.
Bryce and I met freshman year of high school in science! We dated for a couple months but broke up for a couple years and found our way back together in college and have been together ever since!

Tell the story of your proposal.
My family takes a Fourth of July beach trip every year, and this year Bryce invited his parents to come along too. My mom asked if we could take a few casual pictures on the beach the first night, and I didn’t think anything of it. We took a couple of pictures, then my mom laid a blanket out on the sand. As a joke, I laid down on the blanket to pose for a picture. The next thing I knew, I turned around… and Bryce was behind me on one knee.

Afterward, my mom and friends had a few dresses waiting for me to choose from so we could take engagement pictures while the sun was setting. Once we finished taking pictures on the beach, we celebrated with a group champagne toast and a charcuterie board. It couldn’t have been a more special evening with all of our favorite people there.

Tell us about the ring!
My ring is incredibly special to me because the center diamond is the same one my dad used to propose to my mom. After she upgraded her ring, she gave me the diamond, and I designed a new setting around it a couple of years ago with two baguette diamonds on each side and a simple yellow gold band. I loved the design from the start, but somehow I love it even more every time I look at it. I love that it carries a piece of my parents’ story while becoming part of ours.
