Tell us how you met.

We met at work. I being an ER nurse in New Orleans and Nathan being a paramedic in the area as well.

Tell the story of your proposal.

After working a travel assignment for three months on the Big Island of Hawaii, Nathan and I planned to meet in Maui to start our 10 day trip island hopping and exploring. Nathan proposed on the second to last day of our vacation on the beautiful island of Kauai. He had planned a picnic right at sunset on Hanalei Beach. After sending me off to grab the food, I came back to a row of roses in the sand and a blanket laid on the ground. He gave me a note that he had written and after reading it, he knelt down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Tell us about the ring!

I love the uniqueness to my ring, but also how classy and timeless it can be. I chose just a solid emerald cut, laid east to west on a solid gold band. We did not design it together, but a whole year prior to him proposing, we got to sit down with the amazing team at Diana Rae to get an idea of what I liked. The ring was a complete surprise!

Tell us about the wedding!

We are not married yet, but will be getting married in Punta Cana at the Hilton La romana resort in the DR next year.
