How They Met

We met for the first time during a drum corps rehearsal at Cajun Field, when we were both working with the Louisiana Stars Drum & Bugle Corps. We both work with high school marching bands, so we continued bumping into each other pretty often at different band competitions.

The Proposal

When we decided to take a trip to Disney, Cody also decided that’s where he wanted to propose. He got the ring in early November 2022 and secretly held on to it until our trip to Disney in February 2023. A handful of friends and family knew and did a GREAT job keeping that secret until we made it to the castle in Magic Kingdom and he popped the question!

The Ring

Cody picked the ring out all on his own since the proposal was a surprise! He used a ring I had left out on the bathroom counter as a reference for what size the ring should be. He also remembered I preferred more dainty styles and that I typically wear silver jewelry. With all that in mind, he spoke with a designer and got the most perfect ring!

We are currently planning our wedding and are very excited about getting married at the Cajun Mansion next year!!
