Tell us how you met.
We first met in high school through my best friend, but we didn’t really become friends until college. We got together our sophomore years of college and have been together ever since!

Tell the story of your proposal.
The day we got engaged was the best day ever! We had planned to spend a weekend at my grandparent’s lake house with my brother and his girlfriend. Friday night was completely normal, the boys grilled, we caught up, etc. On Saturday, I was planning to spend the day on the dock tanning, but Gavin asked if we could go grab lunch at my uncle’s marina first. We did and the whole time at lunch I kept saying how beautiful of a day it was, the sun was shining and the weather was perfect. We drove back to the house and he asked me to go to the dock with him before we went inside. There was a table with candles and champagne set up, and he proposed on the dock, just us two! I was so caught off guard, but in the best way! We stayed on the dock for a little while talking and admiring my ring. When we started walking back to the house, some of our closest friends and family drove up! That was such a special moment I’ll never forget. The surprises didn’t stop there, my mom and sister had brought me an outfit to change into, my friends brought all the other getting ready essentials, and we got ready and took pictures on the dock at sunset! Then, more family showed up with crawfish and we spend the rest of the night celebrating. It was such a special, well thought out day, and I will forever be grateful!

Tell us about the ring!
I absolutely love my ring! It’s an emerald cut diamond with two side baguettes and a baguette hidden halo on a yellow gold band We did design it together, but he surprised me by adding the side baguettes afterwards!

We are getting married at Our Lady of Wisdom on April, 30th, 2027!
