How They Met

Our love story began like any other typical college love story- at Corner Bar over some nachos and beer. Jake was a senior, and I was a sophomore. It didn’t take much before we were dating and inseparable.

The Proposal

Jake and I had been dating for three years before we started talking about taking the next step in our relationship. I had gone into Dianna Rae with a friend, and we designed the engagement ring of my dreams! Dianna was so helpful during the process, and everything was so seamless.

We got engaged on October 25, 2020, after a family friend’s birthday party. Jake popped the question after the party at my parent’s house, and I was totally taken by surprise! He later told me that he had a huge plan for the weekend before with a picnic, photographer, etc., but I messed up his plans when I picked my fingernail polish off, lol! Although it didn’t go as Jake planned, the way he proposed was more than perfect for me because we woke up the next morning and were able to celebrate with my friends and family.

We finally got married almost two years later on October 22, 2022, in New Orleans and it was truly the best weekend of our lives!

The Ring

I knew I wanted my ring to be classic and dainty so that I could easily stack other rings with it. I went with a round solitaire and a thin band with small diamonds going around. I love it so much and it was exactly what I wanted!

It was not a complete surprise since I designed it with the help of Dianna prior to Jake going in and buying it. Dianna made it super seamless where she added the ring to my wishlist and sent Jake a text. Easy, peasy, and no surprises!
