At Dianna Rae Jewelry, we work with vendors all over the world to source beautiful gemstones for our jewelry. After watching the events this past week unfold in Ukraine, our hearts are broken as we think about our friends across the world.

It just so happens that an opportunity has presented itself by way of a Friend of Dianna Rae.  Hannah, an Aid Worker focused on Post-Trauma therapy is part of an organization that is on the front lines of the Humanitarian Efforts in ukraine. 

Focusing on human rights projects in Belarus and Ukraine, Libereco and it’s partner Organization, Vostok SOS, work to provide people in need with basic needs, facilitate peace talks, and offer therapeutic work for those that have suffered trauma. According to Hannah, any funding raised through donations will be used to facilitate humanitarian aid and will help support the efforts being made to work towards peace. Workers like Hannah in the Ukraine are focused now on helping people remain safe, or work to relocate to safer areas, as well as ensuring those who are immobile – the elderly, sick, etc – have access to basic needs.

“Together with our Ukrainian partner organization Vostok SOS, Libereco has therefore launched an extensive aid operation. The aim is to address the most urgent needs of the people in the immediate danger zone, to help them evacuate and to find temporary housing. Vostok SOS has set up several telephone hotlines there and via internet, people who have been affected can ask for help. At the same time, Vostok SOS staff are in the frontline area to provide direct support.”

To do what we can to help, we have started a raffle for a beautiful pair of grey spinel earrings, sourced from Ukrainian vendors. Each ticket is $20, and 100% of the proceeds will go to the Emergency Humanitarian Aid for Ukraine through Vostok SOS and Libereco. The more tickets purchased, the greater your chance is to win, and the more money is raised to help the people of Ukraine.
