Yellow Gold Black Opal and Moonstone Drop Pendant

Moonstones and Opals have a beautiful relationship. Both have a phenomenal and natural play of color. The black opal in this pendant is from Australia. Its deep blue, black body color swirls with personality. And the rainbow moonstone has a hint of blue flash. A perfect combination. Both are bezel set and suspended from an 18" Twisted Wheat chain. This chain is so flexible, it won't knot or kink!!
How do I know that this opal was mined in Australia when so many are coming out of Ethiopia these days? Well, a very good friend of mine actually went to Australia and purchased the rough crystal from a miner there. Then he brought it, along with many others, back to his workshop in the US and hand cut the opal to its gorgeous oval shape. I've had the privilege to call him my friend for 30 years. He has an eye for picking rough opal that is stable, top quality, and full of color. I've been selling his opals in my jewelry designs for 30 years and never once has a customer returned because their opal cracked or broke.
There are so many different types of opals....white, gray, black, boulder, and more. Each and every opal has its own little personality. I have a vast collection of loose and mounted opals, many are for sale on my Etsy Store. So each of my designs is a one-of-a-kind when it comes to my opals. I always buy the gems loose then create a piece to suit its personality. Each ring and pendant is different and has its own story behind it.

This is a one of a kind item and does not have a current price available. Dianna Rae Jewelry is all about custom jewelry. We would be happy to work with you to create your own version of this amazing style. If you have questions or would like a custom quote on your variation of this design,
