How They Met

Trey and Dominique first met at UL passing each other in the hall between classes and exchanging a few words here and there. It wasn’t until Spring Break of junior year that they had their first real conversation. Not long after, Trey joined Dominique at one of her sorority functions as her date. This was the beginning of a year long friendship before Trey asked Dominique out again. They’ve been together ever since!

The Proposal

Dominique made plans for her and Trey to attend Bayou Country Superfest along with some of their family and friends. Dominique is a big country music fan, so she made the plans months in advance! Trey thought this would be a great opportunity to pop the question. He set up an appointment with Dianna Rae to get the perfect engagement ring. Shortly after, Trey made his way to Rayne, LA, like any southern gentleman would, to talk to Dominique’s dad and get his blessing to marry Dominique. Of course he ended up talking to her other family members too, so now everyone was in on the secret and couldn’t wait for the big day! Once it was finally here, and everyone was in their seats at Tiger Stadium, Trey queued the plane towing a banner which read, “DOMINIQUE, I <3 U. WILL U MARRY ME?” Then, he got down on one knee and asked the woman of his dreams to be his wife. Shortly after, Dan + Shay dedicated their hit song, “Speechless”, to the newly engaged couple and they shared a dance in front of thousands of people.

The Ring

After very subtle hints, Trey knew that Dominique wanted an oval shaped diamond with a simple band. Unbeknownst to Dominique, Trey made arrangements on Good Friday to look at a portfolio of hand selected diamonds with Dianna Rae. After hard work and careful consideration, Trey chose a timeless solitaire engagement ring featuring a beautiful oval diamond.
