Tell us how you met.
We have know of each other for a few years. Our best friends are friends. They had been trying to get us to go on a date for a couple years but the timing was never right. But one day we reached out and decided to try and it was the best decision, we dated for 7 months before our engagement and it is so true when they say when you know you know. Because I remember saying on our first date I texted my best friend telling her I would marry him. And here we are.

Tell the story of your proposal.
So he told me the morning of, I spent the entire day with my mom, my best friend, and both my sister in laws. Back story, my grandfather unexpectedly died on Easter Sunday a week before our proposal, and my fiancé completely forgot about the proposal he had planned until a few days later. He was tore between if he wanted to continue, so he made sure it was okay with my entire family to continue. My grandmother told him that my grandfather would be upset if he postponed it for him. Leading up to our proposal, he told me I had to enjoy the day and not ask questions, but I had one and I asked him “Did my poppy know?” And he told me he showed my grandfather the ring on Good Friday one day before he passed, and in that moment I knew my grandfather was there.
He proposed at Evangeline Oaks in St. Martinville, and it was the most beautiful place. After he proposed, we walked over to St. John’s restaurant and met both of our families. And took pictures with our photographer. Later on when we received our photos, our photographer cropped in my grandfather into the photo with my grandmother. And it was just more of a sign that he was there with us.
He could not have planned a more perfect day, I would not change a thing.

I absolutely love my ring. I chose this ring because it looked unique and antique. We did chose the design together!

Tell us about the wedding!
We will be getting married at Sacred Heart Church in Broussard! Our reception will be at Le Barn Rouge. I would say our style will fit the vibe of Le Barn Rouge well. I am a teacher and he is a farmer. Im excited to see all of our planning come together!
