Tell us how you met.
We met through mutual friends at a party in January and ended up becoming friends first. Then in July, before we were even dating, he told me he was going to marry me one day. I kinda laughed it off at the time, but we started dating that December, and here we are a few years later.🤍

Tell the story of your proposal.
I was actually with him when he bought the ring, but he knew I wanted to be surprised for the actual proposal. So he came up with a plan to throw me off. He told me we were going to go on 5 dates over the next 3 months, and that he would propose on one of them so I could still get dressed up and have no idea when it would actually happen.

The night before, he told me to pick a number 1–5, and that would be our date for the next day.
He wouldn’t tell me where we were going, and once we got in the car he made sure I couldn’t see where we were headed. After a 2½ hour drive with absolutely no idea, we ended up at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia.

I never expected it to happen on the very first “date,” so I was completely shocked. It was the most perfect day with the most perfect man and everything I had ever dreamed of.🩵

Tell us about the ring!
What I love most about my ring is that it really feels like me. I have a radiant cut diamond with a cathedral setting. I love that it feels like the perfect mix of classic and modern. It has so much sparkle, but still feels timeless and elegant.

We actually designed it together. I’m super indecisive, and he wanted to make sure it was something we both truly loved, so it ended up being a really special process, like a fun date we got to do together.

We worked with Dianna Rae at Dianna Rae’s Jewelry, and honestly, she was incredible. She helped us narrow everything down and made what could’ve been overwhelming feel so easy and exciting. She really guided us to the perfect ring without it ever feeling stressful.
