Tell us how you met.
We went to high school together and sort of knew of each other then but officially met at Red’s in 2022. We were both going at the same time in the mornings and seeing each other constantly. Finally we started talking and hit it off! 2 weeks later we went on a date at Central Pizza & Bar where he asked me to be his girlfriend! We have been inseparable since. The saying “When you know you know” is true!!

Tell the story of your proposal.
We were in New Orleans for the Endymion Ball. Mardi Gras is my favorite holiday so it was perfecting timing! We had gone to Ralph’s on the Park for brunch with two close friends. After brunch I suggested we go for a walk in City Park which was right across the street. Unbeknownst to me this was the plan all along! At City Park, he kept trying to get me alone, and I was not cooperating! I kept saying, “No, we have to wait for our friends!” and motioning for them to come with us. Meanwhile, they were trying to figure out how to get away. Looking back it’s hilarious, especially if you hear my friend Mindy tell the story! He finally managed to get me alone, told me how much he loved me and got down on one knee! He and our friends also arranged a photographer which was an awesome surprise! We then walked around City Park to take some of the most beautiful pictures. Once we rejoined our friends they played At Last by Etta James which gave us all a great laugh. That night we had a great time celebrating at Superior Grill catching the parades!

Tell us about the ring!
I love my ring so much so it’s hard to choose! Ive always known that I wanted an oval diamond and wanted to do something a little different. I had shared a bunch of inspiration with Zach over time. He picked everything I wanted on his own and designed the ring of my dreams! The thicker band and hidden halo had me over the moon. It gives the ring such an elevated feeling!

Tell us about the wedding!
We are getting married June 4th 2027 at Cathedral of St. John and our reception will be at Oakbourne Country Club! Think timeless and classy. I can’t wait to marry the love of my life surrounded by our friends and family!
