Tell us how you met.
We met in February 2023 at Our Lady of Wisdom’s Greek Retreat for fraternity and sororities at UL. We both caught each other’s eye, but were too nervous to talk to each other besides one short conversation that weekend. Soon after that, we ended up in the same college friend group. This led to us being good friends for around two years before we started dating! In our opinion, this is what led our relationship to be so great. I found out that Johnathan liked me during the winter of 2024. We soon became inseparable, and the rest is history!

Tell the story of your proposal.
Leading up to the proposal, I started to get suspicious about when it would be. Therefore, Johnathan and my friends tried to throw me off. The day of our proposal, my best friends and I were supposed to go grab an ” early lunch”. Johnathan left to go “workout” at Reds. While I was washing my hair, Johnathan had laid out my dress, heels, flowers, champagne glasses, and a letter for me to see when I got out. Upon getting out of the shower, I saw all of these things and instantly knew it was happening. My best friends came over right after to help me get ready. They then drove me over to St. Mary’s, where Johnathan was waiting for me outside in his brand new suit. He walked me to the outside prayer garden in the back and proposed. We then headed over to his parents’ house to celebrate with our friends and family! I couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Tell us about the ring!
Before ring shopping, I really had no idea what I wanted, but I knew that I loved Emeralds. We went together to Dianna Rae to begin our search and ended up finding my ring that day! I immediately fell in love with the Crossroads ring, but wanted to tweak it a little. I never thought I would fall in love with an East West setting, but the ring truly felt so much like me. Nothing else compared. Through the great help of the team at Dianna Rae, specifically Ellie, we brought my vision to life! However, I only saw the 3D printing of the ring, so seeing the ring for the first time when he proposed was so special.

Tell us about the wedding!
We will be getting married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church – the same place he proposed to me!
