We are high school sweethearts!

Tell the story of your proposal.
We had just purchased our first home together in October and he thought of the sweetest idea to propose to me in our dining room! I went out to dinner that evening for a girls night to spend time with a friend who came into town from Nashville for a “dance competition…;)” ( which was her excuse to try and not tip me off that the actual reason she came into town was because I was getting proposed to later that night). So we spend a couple of hours at dinner and another good friend of mine came “crash the dinner” because I thought she was going on a date with her bf. Turns out she was helping Grant set up the decorations for the most beautiful proposal I was soon to see. Us girls had a lot to catch up on and I was in no rush to leave because these were my plans for the night lol. However my friends were starting to get antsy and told me they were ready to go… I was like girls we have no plans why are y’all so ready to leave… because obviously the man of my dreams was waiting at home to ask me a very important question. So we get home and I open the front door and just stood there in complete shock I had no idea!!! My friends basically shoved me into the house and closed the door behind me because I was frozen haha! I walked into pictures of us throughout the years hanging from the ceiling with candles and floral arrangements perfectly placed all over the kitchen and dining room. It was just perfect and to share that moment with each other in our first home was so special. We cant wait to make so many more milestone memories in it. We don’t know the exact date yet but we do plan on getting married October 2027!

Tell us about the ring!
What I love most about my ring is the setting. I wanted the stone to shine on its own but the tulip setting adds the perfect girly touch that I am so obsessed with! I chose marquise for the shape of the diamond because I love how it looks on my hand it is so elegant. Grant surprised me on my birthday last year to go ring shopping/ designing and we got so many recommendations for Diana Rae because of their custom work. They surely blew it out of the park.

Tell us about the wedding!
We haven’t made any plans yet for our wedding besides the venue. But we are blessed to be able to have it in our family friends backyard. They are so gracious to open their house to us and we can’t wait to start planning with them:)
