Tell us how you met.
Armando and I met through mutual friends! One of my close friends and her husband, who is good friends with Armando, set us up on a double date. We went to Topgolf and had dinner afterward, and it was such a fun and natural first date. I remember leaving that night thinking we would definitely see each other again soon. Even though we lived an hour and a half apart, we made time for each other and continued going on dates in the weeks that followed. Every time we saw each other, he had a beautiful bouquet of flowers in his hands for me. A few weeks later, he arrived with the most beautiful bouquet of roses I had ever received and asked me to be his girlfriend. It was such a sweet and thoughtful moment, and we have been together ever since!

Tell the story of your proposal.
This past March, Armando and I celebrated our two-year anniversary. A few months before, he told me he wanted to plan a special trip for us to celebrate. He had always dreamed of traveling somewhere where we could explore nature and go hiking, and after doing some research, he decided on Sedona, Arizona. Neither of us had ever been, so we were incredibly excited to start planning. The trip was the perfect mix of hiking, great food, and sightseeing. Experiencing the beauty of God’s creation together was truly unforgettable. Armando was especially determined for us to hike Cathedral Rock on our actual anniversary, March 16. Hiking came naturally to him, but it was definitely more challenging for me. Throughout the climb, he was so encouraging and supportive, constantly motivating me to keep going. He kept telling me that it would all be worth it when we reached the top. When we finally made it, he was absolutely right. The view was breathtaking. We walked out to the edge of Cathedral Rock and took in one of the most beautiful sights we had ever seen. Then, in that moment, Armando got down on one knee and proposed. It was the most special, intimate, and beautiful moment. It was more perfect than anything I could have ever imagined, and I will cherish that moment forever.

Tell us about the ring!
Armando and I visited Diana Rae together to try on rings! I knew I wanted a solitaire setting with a hidden halo, but I was completely open to different diamond shapes. I tried on several styles and was having a hard time choosing, so I asked Armando which shape he would have picked if he had gone shopping on his own. Without hesitation, he said a pear-shaped diamond. As soon as I tried on the pear, I fell in love with it. Of course, he jokingly reminded me that I didn’t have to choose it just because it was his favorite, but it truly felt like the perfect fit. In that moment, I knew it was my ring!

Tell us about the wedding!
Armando and I are getting married on May 22, 2027, in his hometown of Alexandria, Louisiana. Wedding planning is currently in full swing, and we are soaking in every moment of preparing for this next chapter together. We are incredibly excited to celebrate our love surrounded by our family and friends!
