Tell us how you met.
We met the semester before entering nursing school in 2020, but we didn’t know each other very well. When I arrived last minute to the first day of class, Anthony offered up the seat in front of him. A few minutes later, he asked if he could borrow a pen. Turns out he didn’t need one, but he just wanted an excuse to talk to me. And well… it worked!
Tell the story of your proposal.
Anthony planned an array of activities for Valentines weekend 2026. Deep tissue massages, bubble baths, breakfast in bed, boiled crawfish, you name it. Sunday morning, he told me to get dressed for a lunch reservation at an undisclosed location.
We arrived at Rip van Winkle Gardens at 10:30 AM. He made a reservation at Café Jefferson for 11:15 AM, so he suggested we could go wander the gardens while waiting. I pointed out a statue that I thought was cute because it reminded me of our two cats, and he knew in that moment it was the perfect location to propose. He even had a friend hiding in the bushes with a camera, ready to take photos. I was very surprised and wasn’t expecting a thing, especially because he used a slim ring box so I wouldn’t see it in his pocket LOL.
Tell us about the ring!
I’ve always had an idea of the ring style I’d want. The moment I tried on the Radiant Trilogy engagement ring from the Shapes of Beauty collection, I knew she was meant to be mine. It exceeded all of my expectations! All of Dianna Rae’s designs are stunning, unique, and carefully curated. I am ecstatic to be the proud owner of one of her pieces.
I’d like to give a special shout-out to Ellie with the jewelry sales team. She was very kind, helpful, and made the entire process flow seamlessly.
