Tell us how you met.
I moved to John Evan’s hometown when I was just 10 years old! We were always around one another in school, but it wasn’t until our freshman year of high school that we became best friends and inseparable! We have been one another’s backbones ever since! High school sweethearts some would say!

Tell the story of your proposal.
We took a vacation with 4 of our closest friends, who are also all couples! We went to Xcaret, Mexico and spent 9 days with a view of the beautiful Caribbean Sea. On our third day there we planned to get dressed up and go to our first nice dinner of the trip, so of course pictures would be involved! We were walking around trying to find the perfect spot and I am typically one to be picky about pictures, while my friends usually don’t really care, but they were being ODDLY invested in the location of the pictures HAHA! We ultimately decided on a beautiful scenery of the rocks along the shoreline where there was also a Mayan ruin, or should I say “THEY” decided lol! It was absolutely perfect. We took our pictures last and to my surprise he got down on one knee and popped the question!

Tell us about the ring!
I absolutely love how large the marquise diamond appears! I mean it stands out even in a dark room! I love the elegance of a solid thick gold band so the diamond can really pop in all its glory. We actually designed this together, but he made the final touches and decisions on it which made it extra special!
