Tell us how you met.
As cliché as it sounds, Coby and I met through social media. We started texting, and before long he planned a surprise first date for us. He picked me up with plans to stop at Dairy Queen for Blizzards, but we hit it off so quickly that he completely drove right past it! We eventually turned around, grabbed our ice cream, and headed to Lake Buhlow in our hometown. We sat by the water, watched the sunset, and spent hours talking about our dreams, our goals, and where we hoped to be in the years ahead. From the very beginning, everything felt so natural and easy. One of the things that stood out most was how often our conversations came back to the Lord. It was in those moments that we both felt a deep sense of peace, knowing we were exactly where God intended us to be. Looking back, that simple first date was the beginning of the greatest blessing we could have imagined.

Tell the story of your proposal.
The night before the proposal, Coby took me to Ruffino’s on the River for a date night. He had been working so many night shifts at the hospital, and we always make it a priority to set aside time for each other and keep the spark alive. Looking back, I had absolutely no idea what was about to happen. The next morning, I thought it was going to be just another typical Sunday. I woke up to a handwritten note from Coby telling me it was going to be a very special day and that my sister was coming over to help me get ready. My heart immediately started racing! Once my sister and I were ready, we headed out, and I didn’t realize our destination until we arrived at Avery Island. She had even taken my phone, so I couldn’t be sneaky or try to figure out what was going on—looking back, it all makes sense now! As we slowly drove through the beautiful swamps, I spotted Coby standing beneath a tree, patiently waiting for me. The second I saw him, I completely lost it—my makeup didn’t stand a chance. I walked over to him, and in one of the sweetest moments of my life, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. One of my favorite parts of that day is that Coby secretly recorded our proposal on his phone. Whenever we want to relive one of the most special moments of our lives, all we have to do is press play!

Tell us about the ring!
Ugh… what is there not to love?! The moment I tried this beauty on, Coby and I both knew it was the one. We absolutely fell in love with the thick band and how unique it is—it feels so timeless. And the diamond? It truly speaks for itself. I still catch myself staring at it every single day!

Tell us about the wedding!
While our wedding is still a little ways away in May 2028, we couldn’t be more excited! We’re planning a romantic brunch wedding with an 11:00 a.m. ceremony. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of our lives surrounded by those we love most!
